I would like to start off by reassuring you that you can indeed help your child succeed in math regardless of your own mathematical history or education level. As your child’s parent, you have the unique opportunity to influence their attitude and motivation towards math on a very regular basis. With your help, your child can learn to approach mathematical difficulties with confidence and persistence.

Let’s be honest. Math can be hard.

As parents, we want our children to succeed and are often willing to do whatever it takes to help them. Sometimes we just don’t know how that help should look.

My hope is to pass on some lessons learned from my successes and mistakes. Every child is different. Every home is different. However, as you incorporate the tips that I share that most resonate with you, hopefully you will begin to see more positivity in your child’s attitude towards math.
